Template terms of service — review with counsel and replace before relying on it. Last updated 2 August 2026.

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the PreceptMD learning platform (“PreceptMD”, “the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Not medical advice

PreceptMD is an educational tool for exam preparation and professional learning. Its content — including AI-generated questions and explanations — is for educational purposes only, is not medical advice, and must not be used to diagnose or treat any patient. AI-generated content can be incomplete or wrong; always verify against primary sources and your own clinical judgment. You are solely responsible for any clinical decisions you make.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use PreceptMD. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • share, resell, or redistribute the content or your account access;
  • attempt to scrape, copy in bulk, reverse-engineer, or extract the underlying content or models;
  • disrupt, overload, or probe the service or its security;
  • upload patient-identifiable information or anything unlawful; or
  • use the service to build a competing product.

Intellectual property

The service, its content, and its software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the service for your own learning. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of content. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or reliance on — the service or its content.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
