PreceptMD

Template privacy policy — review with counsel and replace before relying on it. Last updated 2 August 2026.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information PreceptMD (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the PreceptMD learning platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account information — the email address and display name you provide when you sign up, and (if you use Google sign-in) the basic profile information Google shares with us.
  • Study data — the questions you answer, your responses, timing, and the progress, mastery, and scheduling records the adaptive engine derives from them. This is what lets the platform personalize what you study.
  • Preferences — your exam target, exam date, focus areas, and other settings you enter.
  • Technical data — standard server and security logs (for example IP address and browser type) generated when you use the service.

We do not intentionally collect health information about you or any patient. Please do not enter patient-identifiable information anywhere in the product.

How we use information

  • To provide, personalize, and improve the learning experience.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To operate, maintain, and debug the service.
  • To communicate with you about your account (for example, confirmation and password-reset emails).

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We rely on third parties to run the service. They process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Anthropic — powers AI-generated explanations and study features.
  • Voyage AI — generates embeddings used for content retrieval.

Cookies

We use cookies strictly to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account, which permanently removes your account and associated data. Some records may persist briefly in backups before being overwritten.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by contacting us.

Children

PreceptMD is intended for medical trainees and professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
